Abstract Submission
SENDING AN ABSTRACT
Abstracts will be sent through a web-site. When sending and abstract, you should keep in mind the following:
- All abstract summaries must be uploaded to the system in English.
- The complete text may be uploaded to the system in English.
- Only abstracts that are sent will through the Congress web-site abstract submission system will be accepted, and abstracts that are sent through mail or fax will not be evaluated.
- Abstracts that are sent to the Congress may be presented in English.
- Abstract owners will be notified online once their abstract is received.
- Abstracts that are sent will be evaluated by the congress scientific committee and by at least two judges, and the suitability, acceptance and the form of presentation will be determined by the Scientific Committee.
ABSTRACT PRESENTATIONS
- Abstracts will be presented orally or in poster form.
- Oral Abstracts will be prepared and presented in an electronic format (PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi etc.) and the allocated time for oral presentations will be announced after the abstract evaluation process is complete.
- Poster abstracts will be presented as e-posters.
- After the evaluation and the acceptance of abstracts, a template will be uploaded for e-posters to this website and posters will be requested according to the template.
PUBLISHING AND DISTRIBUTING ABSTRACTS
- Either the complete text or the summaries of the oral abstracts, and only the summaries of poster abstracts will be published in "Turkish Porphyria Association Journal."
- The congress booklet and e-posters will be published online, on the congress web page after the congress has ended.
- For abstract summaries to be accepted, it is compulsory for the author who will conduct the presentation to register to the Congress.
POSTER ABSTRACT QUALIFICATIONS
- Posters will be displayed on screens as e-posters. You do not need to print the posters.
- Your poster design will be prepared as a PDF file.
- The design must be in VERTICAL format.

- File size must be smaller than 10MB.
- Files will only be accepted in PDF format.
- You may upload your poster file in the system after your abstract is accepted, through the link that will be sent through mail.
COMPLETE TEXT FORMAT
- The complete text must be in A4 format (21 x 29.7 cm). Left, right, top and bottom margins each must all be 2.5 cm.
- Title must be font size 12, bold, first letters capitalized, and centered. The English title must be prepared in the same format and must be written leaving a one row gap in between.
- Author names, institutions and e-mails must be written after the title.
- The article must be in Times New Roman font. Abstract title must be centered, with 1.5 line spacing, font size 14 and first letters capitalized. The title must be concise and informative, and make the article easier to understand. There must be no abbreviations in the title.
- The abstract must be in English and should not exceed one page (all including the title, authors, institution information, text, references, acknowledgements etc.), and the text must be 400 words at most.
- Charts and pictures must not exceed the page margins.
- There must be a single row gap between the different sections of the article (e.g.: Introduction, Methods, Conclusion, References).
- References must be at the very end of the article and they must be listed alphabetically. References and citations in text must be prepared in AMA (numerical) format.
- All references must be at the end of the document, and must be numbered using squared brackets (e.g.: [1]).
